 Sweet potato and carrot fries!



For one single portion

1 large carrot and 1/2 large sweet potato. 

~Heat oven to 375°

~Slice into fry form

~place on pan

~2tbsp of olive oil, coat fries

~s/p to taste

~2 tbsp basil

~1 tbsp cayenne pepper - if you like spice, if not, hold, or just light.

Coat evenly and put in oven for 15 minutes.

*While cooking rest of my meal, I check on them every 15 minutes or so. Stirring the fries each time.*

If the oil has cooked off, you can add 1 tsp at this time. Put back in oven for 15-20 minutes.

— Depending on size on fries you cut, they'll take from 35-50 mins in total. The skinnier the fry, will cook and crisp quicker.

If you want to crisp them, put them back into oven for 1-2 minutes on broil, *watch them*. 

- Take them out and pat with paper towel. 

Enjoy as a side with your next meal! Pairs deliciously as a side!
